Wabi-sabi style oak display case, a heavy cabinet made to look aged and well used. Some traces of the rough unplaned texture of the timber were left and given a polished lacquer finish. Which made it feel very tactile and seem like it’d had years of use.
Although the texture of the oak is intentionally rough in places, once lacquered it feels smooth and tactile.
Though mortise and tenon joinery make the base strong enough for this very heavy cabinet.
