Welcome to the SAM BROWN FURNITURE website. The site is set out to give prospective clients an idea, not only of the kind of furniture I make, but to explain the way it is made, the type of service I provide and hopefully to help show the difference between bespoke hand-made furniture and the high street alternative.

Since 2000, I’ve been working on my own as a cabinetmaker to achieve the high standards of work I like to make. It's an old-fashioned concept of putting the craft before profit but by doing so I feel I'm giving my clients something that will last and age beautifully.

The Projects section will show you various commissions, some of the one-off work I’ve made for clients. The Making section will show you steps in the process of making a piece of furniture and show you the kind of quality you can expect. There's a Pricing section which will explain the commissioning process, how I arrive at my estimates giving breakdowns of labour, materials and workshop costs.
